Friendship marks a life even more deeply than love. Love risks degenerating into obsession, friendship is never anything but sharing.
I left the kids home Saturday and did some serious soul-feeding activities.
First, my Kirstin and I ate brunch at Eatonville. It was the best brunch I’ve had so far. Ah-mazing. I am now addicted to grits.
Then we shopped around and ended up in my neighborhood at Scrap DC, which is basically heaven. It’s a volunteer-run craft shop. All materials are donated and all the things are super cheap. I got fabric to cover cushions galore for $2.65.
Both aces are a “must return.”
We walked in the rain, per usual.
I figured out that I live in Brookland neighborhood.
